I will agree with you....I don't like the Obama flag. I don't get into politics in a public forum, so that is all I will say.

Why is it okay for Obama to us the flag as a political statement, but not okay for others to disagree with it?
This is the umpteenth time the Obama camp has co-opted the American Flag and every time they catch grief for it. How stupid can they be?
Than The only time the flag has been mofified is when a new state joined the union. I rhink it is a disgrace when any politician desecrates it for political gain and, most especially, to raise money

Happy Birthday, Art! Wishing you the Best! Enjoy your Special Day! As for the Fundraiser for the President, He must be losing his mind. How could anyone, let alone the President come up with this modification for our beloved Flag, and approve it for his campaign funds.

Jerry Thank you for your service as well. Several people have called me and say I am making a political statement against the President. HOGWASH - I see foreigners desecrating the flag, but I don't expect it from our President, especially to raise money
No, Art. I didn't interpret your post as a Political statement, but understood that our Commander-in-Chief is willing destroy everything our present Flag Stands For. I have a Big Problem with people, who burn our flag or anyone else who wants to desecrate it, as it appears the Democratic campaign is doing.
Jerry I was not suggesting you made the statememt - it was a phone call from some of my "friends" in the area - I wii not discuss the politics - my only annoyance is in flag desecration by any President. The fact our current President is a Democrat is coincidental

Art, I hope that you have had a great birthday! I agree, it's a symbol of our country, not a campaign slogan, rag or even a fashion accessory. If I am old fashioned or uptight, I am alright with that. Too many brave souls like yourself have risked their lives and died for that breautiful symbol of freedom!
