I read all the time that branding your business online is so important and I agree totally. Recently I have noticed many vehicles out on the road and I think they are doing a pretty good job too.

Hi Kristin, These are all great examples of Branding. Perhaps we should have little houses on our cars, LOL. But that could also be used for builders. I have my website in raised letters on my car but it may need to be bigger.

I saw you did not post this in the "Seth Godin Fan Club." It belongs there because the cases you mention are all "Purple Cows" in their own way.

If you are not aware, one of Seth Godin's best books is titled The Purple Cow. This is one of my all-time favorite books. The Purple Cow is a metaphor for doing something remarkable.

Hi Tony, I have magnetic car door signs and They are good as I can remove them when I want to. I think people do notice vehicles with signs.

Hi Myrl,

I think the Monopoly Man is my favorite but I really like the Hummer Cupcake Vehicle too. They all have character.

When my daughter was in junior high, she left her PE T-Shirt out on the benches and they had a game the following day. Of course, we went back to the school and it was gone and she was crying hysterical as no shirt-no play. But just then the coach called and said he had the shirt so we ran by to pick it up. He was driving a company truck and it had a huge creepy spider on the top of it. It was black and hairy and had about 16 legs and was about 6 feet higher than the top of the cab. Of course he was an exterminator and that is a good job but the truck.....I was not so sure. What I remember thinking was I was so glad he didn't live next to me. I have never forgot that truck and it has been over 10 years but cannot remember the name of the company now?

Branding can make something stick in your mind for years.

Thx for the compliment, Donna Foerster . Branding can make a big difference and those are some great examples. In general, billboard advertising is one of the most ineffiicient marketing vehicles. I love those that are on the cars/vans. the truth is that can brand virtually everything. I brand my recycle bags for my customers and the shirts I wear and computer case..all low cost. My car has "FLOORGRL" license plate, but I'm restricted in my state for doing a vehicle wrap as it means I would have to avoid 5 major highways.

That is interesting that if you wrapped your car, you would be restricted to major highways? Wow, but glad you have found alternatives like just layering the back window. I usually put my magnetic signs on my backdoors.
