Today I'm running around the ATL delivering an EM check and taking care of other business when I get an email from AR Ambassador Lynn Friedman. She was meeting with Bruce Hicks and his wife. Both are AR members and are visiting from Hawaii. Lynn invites me to join them for dinner, and we meet at one of favorite places - This Is It! Camp Creek.
This Is It! Camp Creek has delicious barbecue and seafood, and great Southern vegetables like collard greens, mac n cheese, boiled cabbages, baked beans, and cole slaw to name a few. Plus you want to save room for dessert at This Is It! Camp Creek. Peach cobbler, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, banana pudding...yum yum!
But the best part of the night was the wonderful camaraderie we experienced between Lynn, Bruce and me. We talked about AR, lots about how we run our property management business, and the differences in how real estate works in Hawaii versus Georgia. So much knowledge to share and soak up.
This Is It! Camp Creek was the perfect venue for us. Our server Ricardo did an absolutely wonderful job. He went above and beyond and assisted us by taking the pictures. As it turns out, he is newly married and his wife is in real estate. Lynn and I left our contact information for Ricardo to pass on to his wife. We expressed how much we would like to talk to her about the Rain.
We didn't plan this event, but it was just what I needed to wrap up an eventful week of real estate - a surprise 'Meet Up' unofficially. Without AR this surprise event would not have happened. And my thanks to Lynn Friedmann for calling and inviting me to participate.
When you are near the ATL airport and you have a couple of hours, you have to come over toThis Is It! Camp Creek and enjoy a bites. Entrees include a meat selection and two vegetables, and many meals are less than ten dollars. Drink and dessert are a little extra.
Great food, great fun - thank you AR and This Is It! Camp Creek!
