Earlier today, I posted my tech4REpros Technology Glossary.  It's a glossary of technology terms for my target audience, real estate professionals.  I added a link to my standard post page so that it would always be easy to find.

Have you posted a real estate glossary to your blog?  A real estate glossary is a natural part of a real estate blog.  Insert a link to your glossary on your standard post page and link back to your glossary from posts where you use jargon terms.  Because your real estate glossary is in a blog post, it will be easy to update when needed.

One of the objectives of real estate blogging is to keep clients and prospects coming to your site to achieve psychological retention so that they call on you when they are ready to buy or sell real estate.  Shouldn't your real estate blog include a glossary so that your clients and prospects don't turn to someone else for that information?

Thanks!

I think this is helpful for many buyers or sellers to view.  They may even learn something.

Interesting tool that I hadn't thought about adding.  Thanks for the pointer.

Frank, that's a good bit of advice. I'll consider adding one to my site.

I've got to work on the blogs I set up next.  Any suggestions about coping and pasting or should I type a different blog on each.  did that make any sense?  I'm going to bed...

01/19/2008 11:39 PM by Brian Sharkey South Florida Realtor (All Florida GMAC Real Estate)

Brian, as you can tell from my local blog, I sometimes publish identical posts in both forums.  I also tailor some of my posts since my local blog is on Blogger and is aimed at real estate professionals from Santa Clara County.  Other posts don't translate from one audience to the other.  For example, I didn't post my comments about Localism.com on my local blog because most of my readers wouldn't have heard of it and I haven't introduced it to them.  In your case, posts about the market or local activities should be limited to local blogs while posts about home improvements and seasonal maintenance could be cross-posted to all of your blogs.  And of course your pitch "Why choose me" should be on all of your blogs, in my opinion.

Did that answer your question?

I have a glossary on my website are you saying I should link that page to my blog?

Rosemary, that would work, too.  A real estate glossary is one more good resource you can provide for your clients and prospects, so why not link to your glossary from your blog and also from posts that use jargon terms like MLS or DOM?

Frank - This is a resource I overlook but thanks to you I now understand why this is absolutely a resource I should provide for visitors.

Frank. I've got to make a deal with you so that you will quit educating the competition.

That's the best compliment I can give you.

Frank consider it done.  Thanks for the tip.  I guess I was half way there.  I like it better when I'm all there!
