This post below brings Lyn's cause and passion to the forefront ... but alsobrings "Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable Pet Week - Sept 17th thru 23rd, 2012" to our attention. The number of pets needing to be adopted, especially those deemed less than perfect, is staggering. Action is needed ... and that action starts with educating the public.
Our family's beloved dog, Maggie, was found wandering the streets as a tiny pup ... then brought to a local shelter, where we found her and brought her home. We couldn't have found a better dog. She quickly became our sidekick and family member.
View the 'Gallery' of available pets from your area by using the easy to navigate links Lyn Sims has provided. And then think about adopting. Like our family ... you will find a faithful and devoted friend ... and be glad you chose to do so.

Gene - thanks for reposting this. I am a big fan of adopting - in fact I just started volunteering with a group that is working to put puppy mills out of business. Both our dogs were "wandering" mutts. Healthy, beautiful, and inexpensive!
Good for you, Margaret! To tell you the truth, I though I'd be hearing from you, as I know your love of dogs and animals. No surprise that I did! What amazing work you will be tackling. My wife's sister does something very similar in Cincinnati.
Best of luck in your new challenge ...
Gene
I hope all of those furry critters find a new home!
Gene: Thanks for the reblog! Let's get the word out for all those great furry friends that need a home!
Agree, Kathy! Let's spread the message that Lyn started ...
