28 Comments on Technological Genius - Humour
I enjoyed reading the post. I only get the newspaper on Sundays. I used to subscribe to two newspapers at one time.
Kathy: Doctors would agree.
Gita: We get one paper delivered and my husband picks up another one on his daily sojourns. On the weekend, if we are home, we get the New York Times and help deforest the planet.
Good morning, Val.... that's a hoot... I'll pass that one along....
HA! As convenient as technology is, it can't solve all problems, can it?
Good morning Barb. It is a bit of a keeper and short enough for me to remember. LOL
Wayne: We are going to miss the newspaper when they stop publishing on paper. I know we no longer get a Sunday paper and it is a bit disconcerting.
Very good. I needed it on a rainey Saturday. Thanks.
Heard this one before #50, but it will always get a laugh from me, I love it.
THAT WAS REALLY FUNNY!
The Houston news paper The Chronicle is hanging on...barely. I hope it makes it. However, we don't read the paper any more. Oh we buy it on the street every now and then but mostly not. So we are not helping them at all.
I will miss if it goes...for all my packing stuffing which is what we use our newspaper for.
chris: It is raining here as well. Still, after a summer of heat and drought, we are glad to see it.
Roger: I will have to tell my joke source not to send me those oldies but goodies. LOL
Sussie: There is room for good articles but the way to get them and to find out what is happening in the world is changing. Still, like you, I will miss the packing material.
Well, I can see you found multiple uses for a tech item. That isn't so easy to do.
Jeanne: Oh yes. Some technology just doesn't cut it. LOL
Randi: True but one can be creative.
That would be a very expensive way to kill a fly Valerie.
Malcolm: Sometimes no matter the money, it would be worth it - especially if it was a stinging bee. Whew. Okay, maybe not.
Valerie,
Great story and a fitting ending for the critter!
Too funny Valerie. I still enjoy picking up my newspaper at the end of the driveway. Soon enough that will probably end.
It is good to use the right tool when doing the job. No suffering here...right tool!
Valerie, I guess we will have to invest in flyswatters again. LOL
Pamela: An iPad would make a hard hitter. LOL
Paula: Most morning, it is me leaning way out the door (still in my pjs) trying to scoop up the paper on the veranda without the neighbours seeing me. I will miss that one day.
William: Right too. Got it.
Debbie: Every summer we have to hunt through the house looking for the fly swatter. It seems to disappear during the winter.
