Established in 1986, River Walk subdivision is a community of more than 400 homes comprising of two-story brick traditional style homes built by various local builders.
Homes in River Walk have a range of  0.3 to 0.5 acres but there are also few larger lots. Average square footage in this community is 2,400 – 5,800 sqft.
River Walk subdivisions enjoys a picturesque surrounding from its rolling hills, mature trees and great landscaping.This community has one of a kind leisure path that runs along the Gilder Creek river for about four miles. It’s the best place to exercise and be in a natural surroundings. This made River Walk unique from all other subdivisions in Simpsonville.
Other amenities in River Walk include swimming pool, underground utilities, outside lighting, tennis court, playground, and club house. River Walk is also home to the swim team, the Shockwaves.

Schools for this community are Monarch Elementary, Mauldin Middle, Mauldin High.
