the Newburgh Mural Project "Transcendence"

The Newburgh Mural Project is a public art and education program. It is Impossible to miss this 61ft Giant Canvas in the City of Newburgh! The mission is to inspire the community by transforming public spaces into works of art for everyone. The mural series is “Life In Colors” and this particular mural “Transcendence”.

A celebration of the City of Newburgh of its past, present, and future. Additional locations have been started throughout the town and are a work in progress. There is to be a total of five throughout the city. Great to see the residents get excited about art.

Gretchen - Very unusual.. and now they are working on an addition to it on the empty windows on the left.. very unique and it does keep people from painting graffiti all over town

Ginny ~ it certainly beats the graffiti that was happening in town. Now people are watching these and being protective that it stays looking nice. It gives the community a sense of pride..
