For those that live in this home, exercise is a built in feature.  Thanks to Ralph and Janet Henze of Re/Max Advantage in Sherwood, AB for sharing this amazing home.

Amazing Architecture

While scouring the internet for "unique" homes, it's amazing to see all the homes which have been converted from other structures.  This week's pick for our Facebook business page feature is one such home.

This week's pick, a water tower that has been converted into a house:

This amazing house is really a vacation rental property.  It was built in 1923 and used as a water tower for years.  A water tower, it was thought at the time, would destroy the look of the area's skyline.  The architect decided to build the tower so that it looked like it was a house resting in the trees.  Years later, after it was no longer being used as a water tower, it was converted into an actual residence.

The home has a total of 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and is made up of 6 floors.  The kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor and the living room on the 1st floor.  Bedrooms and bathrooms make up the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.  The top floor is an incredible games room with pool table and spiral staircase to an upper gallery.

There are 67 stairs in all.  Trying to make it easier to negotiate all the stairs, there are 4 landings and 5 half landings with seats to rest on at each landing.  I still would not have wanted to be the one moving the pool table up to the top though!
