Greenbrier Valley Theatre Presents The Crucible
Greenbrier Valley Theatre presents a live performance of The Crucible. This Arthur Miller classic takes place in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692 and recounts the horrific events surrounding the infamous Salem Witch Trials.
The trials marked a time in history during which paranoia, hysteria and deceit gripped the Puritan towns of New England, leaving a legacy which will never be forgotten. Written in the early 1950s, at the height of McCarthyism, The Crucible won the Tony Award for Best Play.
The Crucible is no mere historical document, but pulse-quickening, ever-trenchant drama.
