Where You Don't Get A Second Chance

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Official ReplayI have loosely followed a questionable touchdown catch at the end of a Seattle Seahawks - Green Bay Packers game where one official called the catch a touchdown, the other did not. Which made me think

Where You Don't Get A Second Chance

It is in the first of anything. First business meeting, first personal relationship encounter. It is rare if you blow it with that first impression, EVERYTHING you come to the table with, or not, for them to say boo to you ever again. Why you should be polished in thought, word, and deed and always have your A game. Officials in football have the luxury of rewinding the video tape in slow motion and looking at it frame by frame. With YOU making your own call in life you get ONE shot with all these newbies.

No second chance for a good first impression.

BE YOUR BEST OUT OF THE GATE!!

That was a wild ending to that game last night. And like the big Green Bay loss last night it can cost you big in the end.

Great point sir. we do need to have our "A" gome on all the time. You never know when you will be making a impression on someone.

I didn't get a second chance in the spelling bee in elementary school. I was positive I heard the teacher say another word so I spelled that one. Out!

Wouldn't it be great to be able to review your decision on camera and reverse your call, upon further review?

Thanks Gary.

Hi Gary, Rewinding that game play did not serve the real game winners in the least. But that is life too.  I know we don't usually get second chances to get it right in our business and as you say, there is no rewind.

Hi Gary...I was talking with someone on Wednesday and mentioned that sometimes first impressions are wrong.  At least I have found that to be true.  It is very disheartening when you think someone is a person that you admire and then find out that they are not what you thought they were.

That does not negate the point you are making.  It is very helpful to have good values and a high tolerance for stress so that you are able to be yourself and yet make a good impression.  I wish I could say I'm capable of doing that consistently.  I cannot although I think I hit a fairly good percentage.

Gary-First impressions can be tricky because you can make a good one or a bad one but as Kate says you can always judge a person solely on first impressions. There maybe situations we aren't aware of that cause us not to be at our best 100% of the time.
