** Silverton Cash Mob **
Wednesday, Sept. 26 – Come join us as we “mob” a Silverton retailer and help us make their day or month! Bring $10 to $20 as we “Choose Silverton” and shop locally. Meet at Town Square Park at NOON and move on to selected site as a group. Info: 503-873-5615.


Rules: Retailers must be a Chamber member in good standing and offer merchandise for $10 or less that would suit a male or female customer. The selected retailer (by random drawing) will be notified the evening prior to the mob, in order to have appropriate staff on hand. “Mobbers” will be asked to spend no more than $20, but they are welcome to spend more if they find a “must have” item.

Silverton Business Group
The group meets every Wednesday morning from 8 to 9 am at Silverton Inn & Suites. Chris Devito with Larsen-Flynn Insurance is the leader for September. This week’s speakers are from Friends of Silverton Pool PAC and Corey Geffken LMT who will be giving a short 5-10 minute overview of his business.

Chamber After Hours
Thursday, Sept. 27 5:30 – 7:00 pm – After Hours will be hosted by Silverton Curves at 610 Front Street. Other businesses in the complex will also be open including Salon Blondies, Farmers Insurance, Abiqua Tax Solutions, Silverton Integrative Medicine, Personal Design Massage, the Loft, and Oregon Marketing Group OMG. This is a great chance to check out all of these businesses.

October Forum Lunch
Friday, October, 12 11:45 – 1:00 Reservations are open now for the luncheon which will feature the candidates for City Council, sponsored by Maps Credit Union. Reservations are due by Oct. 9 or until we reach capacity. Cost is $10 for Chamber members or $15 for non-members. Lunch will be served at 11:45 and the program will begin at 12:00 in the conference room above the Birth Center at Silverton Hospital. 503-873-5615

Lunaria Gallery

The market is open 9-1 every Saturday through October 13 in Town Square Park. The market features produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, coffee, jam & jelly.

Silverton Sidewalk Shindig
Saturday, October 6 – Enjoy a free, family friendly, non-stop live music jamboree held throughout Historic Downtown Silverton from 10 am until 9 pm. Listen for the sounds of 32 music acts including blues, folk, country western, marimba band, steel drum band and Irish harp all on the streets and in 20 + local businesses. Mondays: October 1 - November 5, 4:00-5:30
Students learn basic art skills, drawing, sketching, color values, abstraction, landscape and much more using all types of art media! Age 6-10 Cost: $60 members/$75 nonmembers 

Advanced Art Program with Elyse McGowan Tuesdays: October 2 - November 6, 4:00-5:30
A new class for budding art students showing need for advanced art concepts and art exposure. Students will build on existing basic art skills but will focus on advanced art theory and color theory, art history, graphic design, illustration and future applicable skills in the art field. Because of the exposure to advanced art skills, the cost for supplies will be slightly higher. Students will be able keep the art kit used in class. Age 10-13 Cost: $60 members/$75 nonmembers +$20 for supplies 

Graphic Design Support for the Small and Creative Business Thursdays, September to December 7 pm - 8:30 pm No registration required for this drop in studio. Local graphic designer Elyse McGowan offers technical support, brainstorming sessions and practical design advice for small business owners and other creative endeavors. This is an amazing opportunity that will not break your bank! Free for members/$5 nonmembers
