Cupertino Chamber of Commerce & the Asian American Business Council cordially invite you to the 10th Annual Diwali Festival of Lights on Saturday, October 13th, 2012.  From 10am-5pm.

This great family event will be located at Memorial Park, on Stevens Creek Blvd, and Stelling Road.  Parking is FREE just across the street at De Anza College.  

So take the kids for a great family event that includes jump houses, live music & dance, arts & crafts and of course, great food!

Diwali or Deepavali is know as the "Festival of Lights" and is celebrated between October and December for a variety of reasons.  It is most commonly celebrated as a time to preform traditional activities with the family in the home.  It is an official holiday in countries like India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Malayasia, Singapore and Fiji.

The festival of Diwali is to remember the return of the Lord Rama.  We hope to see you there!

Hi Chris - I was in Bangalore during Diwali several years ago - an amazing experience, not the least because of the fireworks. They set off enough serious explosives to level the place and it went on for most of the night.
