Evaluation BPO's Realtors BEWARE!

By
Real Estate Agent with Rocky Mountain Realty #EA40039680

I wish I had google searched EVALUATION Solutions before I accepted a BPO assignment on the fly. But what area you going to do? I was in the area, the EVALUATION person said she needed it right away and she met my price. Fast forward a couple of weeks and the same thing happeded again.

But this time I said "I haven't been paid for the last BPO".

She said "Well, that's a different department do you want this BPO or not we're in a hurry and we'll pay you your price"

Silly me, I agreed. Now I'm in the process of writing to the Colorado State Attorney General and anybody else I can think of - they still haven't paid me.

LONG STORY SHORT - Don't agree to work for EVALUATION SOLUTIONS - you've been warned!

Dena, thanks for the heads-up regarding ES. I occasional get request on properties that are way out of my area, so needless to say I haven't journeyed down this path.

Adrian,

One BPO was in the boonies with no comps the other one I did for them was in town but they sent me to take pictures 4 different times. I've done BPO's I've taken pictures before this was a stall tactic in order not to pay me. Live and Learn - If you don't warn people about the snake in the grass you are no better than the snake!

Hope you get it worked out. I think reporting it is the way to go. What a waste of time, money and gas. I hope you are documenting everything. :)

That is a shame.  I hope that you get some attention by reporting them.  I wonder if your Broker could set up Paypal to make the payment process easier???

I have been working with this company for a few years now doing BPO's. Getting paid is like having root canal. You get stories and lies and after much threatening, you probably will get paid. Frankly, I have very little sympathy for folks out there who get themselves into the hole for several hundred dollars or more with this company and continue to do work for them (and moan at the same time). Best thing you can do is set a limit of say $200 that they owe you and then state that you will not do further BPO's until this amount is paid. If most agents or everyone adheres to this plan, they will be forced to pay in a timely manner.

This is  a shame to hire people to do the job and never pay them.

I wonder how this story ended in 2012?
