So sorry to hear of the passing of Andy Williams.


Two years ago, in September 2010, my husband Jon and I went to Branson, Missouri on vacation.  We went for two reasons:  the novel I am writing in which part of the story takes place there, and because we wanted to see some shows.

We especially wanted to see Andy Williams in his Moon River Theater.  We had dinner in his restaurant, then went across the way to his theater, and attended a great show.  Andy was 82 at the time, but energetic and strong-voiced. He even danced a bit in a couple of his songs.

It was a special evening, and we had a wonderful time.  We grabbed a few photos during the show, and with my little flip camera we also got some video.  I'll share them with you here. 

I remember watching the Andy Williams TV show with my mom when I was a kid.  We were both fans, and when we saw him in Branson I was wishing she  was still alive so I could share it with her.

You are lucky to have seen him 2 years ago.  I remember watching that show too.  Appears he died still doing what he loved to do and you can't ask for more than that.
