Standing out in a crowded field could be determined by how we spend our online advertising dollars. Everyone wants to get noticed, but not all sites and delivery systems are able to do that. Expanding our businesses and brands is important these days, which is why I listened in on a recent webinar for a refresher course in ideas.
Exclusivity
This is a huge concept when it comes to marketing yourself. If you share a page, site or space with other Realtors, your recognition factor shrinks a great deal. You want to be able to showcase your skills and ideas without sharing the spotlight with others, so here are some things to keep in mind:- Some websites and lead-generation systems, such as HouseHunt, enable you to be the only agent listed in a community or section of a larger metropolitan area. It’s important not to be just another face on a page, just as it’s crucial not to share your brand with others. Consumers are distracted enough; don’t give them more clutter to think about.
- A corner office is great but a corner location on a webpage might not be prominent enough. Find out beforehand where your face and information will be on each page.
- Ads for other businesses on your page are often seen as clutter and will take visitors off your page if they click on them.
