Ocwen Short Sale - Now what??
Westminster, CO - Wow, we worked a short sale to a successful closing with Ocwen!! Yes, they do tend to have a very unusual way about them. To complicate matters, they have located their Loss Mitigation Dept to INDIA!!
It just adds to the nonsense you will deal with when hoping to resolve a delicate situation of stopping a foreclosure, by performing a Short Sale!
Ocwen will take the opportunity to work HAFA, and that part was great, but then they like to throw a curve ball at you. In this situation, they decided to change the short sale approval letter by not allowing seller concessions, after the fact!
We ended up closing in escrow, last Friday, and got everything resolved the following Tuesday. In Colorado, we do not like to close in escrow, since the lender funds on day of closing and the title company disperses funds the same day.
