14 Comments on Asheville homes for sale accessible and beautiful
I have a friend with CP who can vouch for what you say :)
My husband has arthritis. When we built our home five years ago, we took that into account. It is a one-level with a bonus room up. Our guess is we'll be here another 20 years or so.
HI Laura~
I've been trying to respond to your tweets, but the "reply" seems to be missing. Hope this little eReader can be helpful. Good ENergy. Would love to have a volume on Feng Shui for aging-in-PALACE...if you'd be interested (??)
Hi Tammie~
GOOD GOING! Just some planning ahead can make all the difference don't you think? I am excited about all the new (and beautiful) elements that can make a home accessible regardless of age.
janeAnne you are so very right this is a subject we will all deal with if we are lucky enough to live long enough. Debbie and I have already downsized. Each time we think of going bigger again we think of our future and stay in our smaller yet comfortable casa.
Hi John~
Yes! As an "older adult" I am very fond of the idea of main floor living- and elegant but functional grab bars! And, of course I'd expect nothing less from you and Debbie than the good sense to appreciate your comfortable casa.
This sounds like something that will be very useful janeAnne. Okay, maybe I am getting older. :)
Morning janeAnne....
I have now subscribed to your post. I thought I had months ago.... Old age setting in :) I would appreciate it if you return the favor. Have a great weekend my friend.
John
There are a lot of things necesaary to make a home completely accessible. I built a few that a partial elements incorporated, but the price went up really fast due to space requirements.
Hi William --THANK YOU so much!
I think you will like it...good to share with Boomer Clients...as a quick start guide...Vol #2 will be out.....look for that in October...it goes a little more in depth. Seems to me this can save a lot of time for real estate professionals, too.
It's a "whitepaper" so You can only get it on Kindle ..you can download it to your computer...
Hi John~
I've been following you (subscribed to your blog) for so long as you've been here at AR. Appreciate you and your work.
Than~
I would love to see a post about your experiences - including a cost analysis. As an "older adult" I am thinking I wouldn't mind figuring out a spending plan to remodel my current home so that I can live independently so long as is possible...and a spending plan would be helpful.
janeAnne - I think I'll take a peek. Good information for down the road. You've certainly found your niche!
