Our area is experiencing a shortage of fresh resale inventory. However, our new construction communities are selling as a result. The builders are starting new homes on speculation. Local workers in the trades are seeing light at the end of the tunnel now.
When new homes and condos are selling, there is a breath of fresh air for many. The real estate community is flocking to our subdivisions to show their clients our inventory; subcontractors are working a full week; their companies are employing workers; and builder/developers are encouraged enough to continue to search for more land.
Sandy Knoll Estates is a luxury home community, and we only have 8 lots remaining. There is one home being built on speculation, and from that home, buyers are reserving lots for custom designed homes to be built in 2013.
New construction communities are leading the way at this time in our real estate marketplace. Resale homeowners are feeling more secure about their homes selling, since the market is now a seller’s market in our area. Everyone loves a new home, and this is an ideal time to venture forth and make that desire a reality.
