What do you do when you are too early for a showing appointment?

Today I was showing homes on both side of the Hudson River.  The homes were spread out;  so I left early because I wanted to make sure I was on time, in this case I was twenty minutes early.  It would not have been polite to show up at  a sellers home that early; maybe they could forgive five minutes  but twenty? probably not.  Should I have  parked outside the gate? Since it was a quiet street I would likely draw attention to myself.

So what could this Realtor do? No coffee shops around , I was out in the woods.  I got it! take some photos of the fall leaves even though they were not at peak.

So what do you do when you are too early for a showing appointment?

Here is one of my favorite shot of the day.

Smart thinking and LOL, that's what I was going to guess you would do.

For me, if I'm early, I go to my "trying to close list" and call a few customers.  I bring this list with me everywhere.

Hi Jennifer, if I'm early I drive around -explore a different road I've never been down and sometimes I find something I can photograph too!  I've been waiting to see those eastern fall colors, they are just beautiful!

Hi Jennifer, I guess it would depend on where I was. In your case, you were able to take some nice photos of the area. Most Likely I would have been on my Smartphone checking messages.

Hi Jennifer, I would have probably waited a little as well filling the time with phone calls or whatever. Looks like you found a much more pleasant way to spend your unplanned break time!

Jennifer  That is a lot less expensive than anything else you could do and, in this case, with a good result
