Many organizations are working on finding warmth for kids for the upcoming COLD season, and you can help!

COATS FOR KIDS - October 3-16, 2011

For 26 years, the Coats for Kids program – a joint effort of The Salvation Army and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS – has provided coats for Twin Cities’ children. More than 285,000 coats and winter accessories have been distributed to Twin Cities’ children through Coats for Kids since the program began.

COAT DROP OFF LOCATIONS We need new or gently used children's winter coats. Please wash all coats prior to donating. Winter accessories like gloves/mittens, hats, snow boots or snow pants can also be donated. Check out our list of drop off locations.

DON'T HAVE A COAT TO DONATE?
- Text "WARMTH" to 85944 to donate $10, payable on your phone bill.
- Donate online and The Salvation Army will purchase children's coats at wholesale prices. Each coat is $15. Click the button below to donate.
- Mail a check to The Salvation Army, 2445 Prior Avenue North, Roseville MN 55113.

VOLUNTEER
-Would you like to sort coats or help parents pick out coats for their children? Check out our volunteer opportunities and register online.
- Organize a group collection early to have your coats ready to donate in October. If you have a group collecting coats this year, we'd like to hear from you! Contact Julie Orlando 651.746.3499.
- Garage sales are a great place to pick up winter coats to donate. When you're out bargain-hunting, keep The Salvation Army's Coats for Kids in mind.
