30 Comments on Raise your Glass of Milk..It's Homemade Cookie Day!
Oh my gosh! I love you! ♥ Any excuse to eat a cookie is great reason for celebration in my book! :)))
Cheryl- I love sugar cookies! Haven't made them in years... may have to try a batch.
Raymond- I will still buy the oatmeal raisin cookies when I'm at the Fresh Market but I haven't made them in years.
BarbaraT- are you talking about twice the amount of chips? Now that's my kind of cookie.
Gary- we could all use a day like that. Remember when neighbors used to do that for each other.
Peggy- ok... oatmeal raisin +oatmeal chocolate chip..put the two together and you get the perfect cookie.
Kristin- glad you like the reminders. You know, I'd rather make my own because you know you haven't put preservatives and such in them.
Kathy- if it was your grandmother's then it's got to be great.
Jared and Amanda- well-l-l-l- since it is a cookie holiday then I would say there's no limit.
Dianne- I've not heard of a toffee cookie but it sounds good. We used to have a cookie exchange around Christmas but it grew so much (we were making 12-15 dozen cookies each) that we switched it to an ornament exchange.
Michelle- ok.... why 2 dozen every day? we weant the story!
Joni- absolutely. I've made the Neiman Marcus cookie before, what about that?
I'm not sure I have a favorite homemade cookie...too many good ones out there! There's one I make with white chocolate chips, candied ginger, and dried cranberries that's pretty yummy.
Kathy - who am I not to honor "Homemade Cookie Day"?! Does Nestles Toll House count - the kind you bake? LOL.
Happy Birthday and how cool that you share the day with "cookie day"
Yummy-nothing better than a cold glass of milk and oreos-even if they aren't homemade-wish I had a stove to bake on. Hope to have one some time next week!
You just made my day brighter Kathy... Cookies!!!
Kathy...I am going to be honest...if I eat a homemade cookie it is because someone else made it for me. Eating is my strong suit...not baking or cooking...lol
I've found a few vegan cookies in health food stores that have hit the spot. I have to find the recipes if I'm going to participate in homemade cookie day!
I'm with you Kathy... I like my Toll House cookies crispy... I still make them from scratch for my "kids" (who are all adults LOL LOL)!
You need to post your recipe for your favorite cookies.
Kathy
Thanks for sharing that today is homemade cookie day . . . . I'm off to the kitchen to celebrate.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Sharon- I'd like to make that at Christmas (can you send me the recipe?)
Kristine- bake away and loved your pictures from your trip to see "the girls".
Liz- wish you could see the cake I made yesterday. Yes, I make my own cake because I'm picky about my cakes.
Joanna- I hear ya. There are some things that the microwave just can't do.
John(QMan)- I even like to hear the words "cookies and milk" .
Jeffrey- oh how funny! I love to make cookies as long as there isn't a rolling pin involved!
Patty- I don't think I've ever had a vegan cookie. I know you can substitute apple sauce in some recipes.
Peggy- I think if you beat them too much they get too much air in them. Yes, I like mine crisp.
Roy- it's the good ole recipe that's on the bag of Nestles chocolate chips.
Michelle- You must have had a very popular house!!!! I don't think mother's bake like that anymore.
Is it homemade cookie day? Happy homemade cookie day everyone! Who does not love cookies? Love this post. Thanks for sharing Kathy. Have a great week!
Somebody send me one at least virtually. I didn't get any today.
I will email the recipe to you. They really are wonderful!
Mike- nothing better than homemade cookies!
Kevin- wonder if the iPad can do it?
Sharon- thanks... I'll let you know how they turn out.
Now that is a really neat idea. If this was celebrated around here, I can assure you, I would particpate in tasting.
Have a great day and an outstanding week. Be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments.
