It has been while since I have done a quote blog. This is a quote that I saw when Darcy and I were driving to the office this morning. A School bus passed as we were waiting for the light to change, on the side of it there was a quote posted. I am not sure who to attribute the quote to, but it goes like this: “Excellence is a habit, Pass it on.”
What a great thing to remember! We live in a World that is telling us that it is okay to do enough to just get by. What we need to remember and take into our being is that anything short of excellence is not reaching our potential. I know that as human beings we frequently fall short of our and other people’s expectations.
The truth is this, if we have given our very best effort and we had prepared ourselves to the best of our abilities, we achieved excellence! Excellence is not achieved by accepting a token effort as our best effort. Excellence is also not achieved by preparing by studying the “Cliff’s Notes” or taking shortcuts.
Excellence comes from training ourselves with everything that we have to train ourselves. It comes from being able to look back and honestly being able to say, “I gave it everything that I had to give.” I agree with this quote, Excellence is a habit, Pass it on!
