105 Comments on A Realtor's worst nightmare
As I was reading this, I scrolled up twice to see if it was "Members Only" Why would Alan write this, and actually before I read the punchline, I realized who you were referring to ;-)
Carla - yeah... I figured some would figure it out pre-punch-line... and some wouldn't. I wrote this tongue planted firmly in cheek.
Ha ha, gotta love those "informed" sellers. No matter what you say they know best. Good luck, hope all turns out well.
Just like Carla #86, before I got to your punchline, I scrolled up to see if it was a members only post and when I saw that it wasn't, I thought, wow, you got guts. :)
Kramer Vs. Kramer-The Movie got nothing on May Vs. May-The Blog. After reading this blog,I completely understand why you have a pill at the bottom of your blog. After reading this blog,I may have to start taking pills-Clever pills that is.
Shane - sometimes they actually do.
Pam - oh... I got guts alright... beer guts.
Lanre - let me know if you figure out where to get those.
Hi Alan,
This sounds like you're going to have to meet with Mr. Know it all and set him straight :)
Remember you’re the professional!
Enjoy your meeting with Mr. Seller.
Alan,
What a pain in the behind you are! lol, seriously only kidding. I enjoyed the post and I know how you feel. I am certain it will be one of the best listings you have ever had :) BTW, treat the client right, he may turn into a repeat client for life!
Alan - Selling your own home and having yourself for a client. Ahh . . . you're a brave man.
Just make sure you listen to your own advice.
Alan this listing should be fun. So do you have a two sided hat, one that says Realtor and the other says seller. There must be some very good conversations going on in your head through the process. At least there is no issue when it comes to communication. Great post that had me wondering "Why the heck did he take the listing?" Best of luck.
Wandanna - I meet with Mr. Know It All, each and every day... (did you miss the part where the seller is ME?)
Christina - oh... don't worry... it's not the first time I've heard that.
Christine - there's a fine line between brave, and stupid.
Roy - had me wondering, too.
i happen to think you have a terrific client. Good luck with the sale!
Margaret
Margaret - oh... just wait. You don't know a person, until you list their home.
Maybe if you work really, really hard for this pain-in-the neck Seller he will become a great source of referrals for you.
But seriously, good luck with the sale of your home, Alan. Hope it is quick and painless!
Alan: I couldn't resist being the 100th comment. You are witty, no doubt about it!
Julie - you're right... I could milk him for referrals.
Anita - well, maybe only "half".
I actually saw this coming Alan. Just be careful you don't cut off all communication with the seller! :-)
Gabe - I'll see what I can do.
Oh this is indeed going to be one of your toughest listings!!! <---- yep! I did need to use three exclamation points! Well, five if you want to get technical! Oops, now 6! Yikes! It just doesn't stop!!!
Laura - it's an addiction! (oh, great, now you've got ME doing it!).
