Last week we had a stove stolen out of one of our listings.

The house is new on the market and is vacant.

One agent had showed the house complete with appointment.

Feedback was that the people did not like the floor plan. That is why they make black shoes and brown shoes.  No problem!

The problem is that when we read the lock box after the theft was discovered, there was no entry for that agent....  So how did he get in to show?  Don't you just love puzzles?!

We decided that since there was no forced entry, someone left either a window or door open.  No proof and no evidence .

To ensure that this did not happen again, we decided that we would go check the house after each showing.

Last night on our way to the lock check, we saw a bright pink balloon floating across the road.

We wondered where it came from.  Where was it going?  Who lost it?  Why had it reached the height it had achieved?  it seemed downright ethereal to watch the balloon gloating freely above the traffic, into the evening sky.

So many questions, and about the same number of answers as we have on the elusive showing.

Wonder if the balloon saw anything?

Theft has become a very common occurrence with real estate listings.  Sellers need to be warned in advance that there are risks of loss.

Have an outstanding week and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments when you are out and about.

There are always going to be theives among us. It is unfortunate, that they need to go to these lengths. It is alway going to be disappointing.
