16 Comments on Congratulations to Ohio Alleycat Resource For 250 Cat Adoptions in 2012!
Hi BLZ,
Congratulations! Ohio Alleycat Resource deserves a lot of credit for obtaining 250 cat adoptions in 2012! That is indeed a great achievement!
BLiz...Congrats to the Ohio Alleycat Resource for reaching their goal early. There is still plenty of year left too.
Dorie, Outstanding work by this non-profit group! Lots of people working together for the greater good.
Anita, There is plenty left, so that 300 goal is reachable! They've added so new locations for weekend adoption opportunities, and you just never know where the next adopter will come from! Maybe we'll get lucky and send some more there with this post :
Toni, They're doing outstanding work!
Bliz, while I'm not a cat person, I love to hear good news of pets being adopted. I am a dog owner and cringe to think of anyone putting down my beloved pet. Thank you for posting these encouraging stats. Congratulations to the staff who work so hard to make all this happen.
Tammie, We have an adopted Chihuahua, a passel of kitties that found us, and now we're helping out by fostering kittens for OAR and Liz also does weekend adoption volunteer time at Petsmart. The kittens in the picture spent about 4 weeks with us while they grew up and learned to play/trust us. Saturday they went back to the shelter to become available for permanent adoption. We hope they all find permanant homes soon.
That is so awesome BLiz...I am on my way to being a Foster mama for those kitties with all them needs here in San Antonio TX. There are so many kittys that need homes and help so glad that there are places like O.A.R to help out when needed!
Bless the both of you for all you do for animals. I've gone to farming out rescue needs to my family members at this point.
Brenda, Cool! Thanks for helping out!
Tammy, We're at max capacity for permanent residents, but we can do the temporary fostering, even though it's tough giving them up after 4-5 weeks in our home. The D sisters were VERY sweet little kittens. Loved attention and we're fun to have. But if they stay with us, they're one of many, vs. a new home where they'll get more individual attention.
BLiz, how wonderful! I kow you do your share, and I know you are such a champion for kitty cats everywhere. WAy to go!!!!!
Andrea, Love to see these folks do well and have their efforts rewarded :)
Here's to Ohio Alley Cat Rescue EXCEEDING their goals. And, you're so right - the animals don't know holidays and these volunteers are so appreciated. Here's to a successful adoption of every kitty the Ohio Alley Cat Rescue has.
Juli, We received great news last night! The kitten on the left that we fostered got her new forever home last night! We'd just dropped off Dolly and her two sisters (Dana and Dottie) on Saturday after about 4 weeks at our home for fostering, and three days later she's done :) We knew with her longer hair and sweet personality she'd have a good chance to go quickly. Now we just hope someone adopts her sisters soon!
Good morning bliz,
What a lovely story, thank you for sharing - wonderful news that the Ohia Alley Resource hit their adoption goals early. I've fostered (and adopted) dogs for years, every pet finding a home is good news!
Liz & Bill now that is what I call a Success Story! and as I read the comments you are on the way to the new Objective. To the Success of the Ohio Alley Cat Organization and all the benefactors i.e.: the kitties who have gotten Forever Homes!
Lisa, It is pretty cool, and now they're well on their wall to that 300 goal! We also have a rescue Chihuahua as part of our permanent home crew :)
Endre, Terrific folks that believe strongly in their work. Each year they'll have an increased impact.
