     This place looks and IS amazingly frightful folks.  It was voted the #1 Haunted House in Chicago in 2010 and  2011!

      For you unfamiliar with the history of the real prison ... and the lore attached to Stateville, Stateville Correctional Center is a maximum security state prison for men in Crest Hill, Illinois.  It was opened in 1925.   It is a Level 1 facility; the highest of eight security level designations.   It has been "home" to the likes of Richard Speck,   John Wayne Gacy  (executed there), and  Leopold and Loeb.  You get the drift ... it's a dark and spookey place with a gruesome past.

    

     But if you dare ... you can visit the  Statesville Haunted Prison & City of the Dead starting:

October 4th thru November 3rd

Hours for Statesville Haunted Prison & City of the Dead are:

 Weekdays:  7 pm to 10 pm

  Weekends:  7 pm to 11 pm

     150 actors ... excruciating 40 to 50-minute tours ... all within 40 horrifically detailed rooms designed to bring your blood to a boil and your lungs to bursting with your screams!  Can YOU take it??


     You can visit and play a macabre shooting game while at the Statesville Haunted Prison & City of the Dead also.  The "tag line" for this game provides a clue as to what awaits you, should you decide to play:

Zombie Hunt:  6 bullets.  2 Zombies, and all the Courage you Have!

    Please keep in mind ... the Statesville Haunted Prison & City of the Dead is not for young children!  No one under the age of 10 will be allowed on this property.  And those 15 and under  MUST  be accompanied by a guardian.

    Regular tickets are available onsite (as well as online) at the  Statesville Haunted Prison ticket window.  Tickets cost $30.00.


   VIP Tickets are also available. VIP tickets can be purchased  online  for $40.00 each.  VIP tickets purchased online will be available for pick-up in the Country Store and Fudge Shoppe at the Statesville Haunted Prison.  (Do not get in the regular ticket line at the front entrance.  Look for the VIP pick up sign at the  EXIT  and pick up your tickets in the Country Store and Fudge Shoppe.)


     Group Tickets are an option for purchase too.   Group tickets are only available for purchase  online.  Group Night is Thursday ONLY.  Group tickets are $21.00 each.  A minimum of 12 tickets must be purchased to receive this special pricing.  Group tickets cannot be combined with  Thursday Night Coupon  (available below).
