Are you headed to Quantico MCB with PCS orders? Are you coming to the FBI Academy located at Quantico? With the expansion of Quantico MCB there are a lot of new organizations now calling Quantico MCB home. If you are one of the active duty military or civilians headed to the area then you should check out the Montclair neighborhood as a place to call home.
Money Magazine named Montclair #35 on it's Top Ten List of Best Places to live in the US in 2011. There are plenty of reasons why Montclair would make the list. You can start with the 107 acre lake residents have access to. Montclair is one of a handful of neighborhoods in Northern Virginia that offers a private lake and beaches for residents to enjoy.
With over 5200 homes Monclair is one of the larger planned communities in the area but with the mature trees and large lots you don't feel as if you are in a typical planned community. The community offers tennis courts, multiple tot lots and the lake or you can join the Montclair County Club (a private club) for golf and indoor tennis.
Prince William Forest Park is right across the road from the entrance to the community for long hikes in the woods. The neighborhood has restaurants and shopping inside the community boundaries as well as quick access to larger shopping centers close by. Commuting to DC is easy with multiple commuter lots close by with direct bus service to the Pentagon and other destinations in the city. It is close to Quantico MCB and with Route 234 right outside the main entrance to Montclair traveling west in the county is a snap.
