Using Clone Tool on Ribbit to Remove Unwanted Items in Pictures

Do you ever take the perfect picture and when you download it, you find a something there you wish you could remove. If it is close to the edge, we can crop but what if it is right in the middle? So I have been practicing with the cloning tool and it works pretty well. First go to www.Ribbit.com and download your picture you want to edit.

Here are some examples below.

This is a desert picture of a bird in a large bush. My camera focused on the top bird and that made the lower one blurry.

 By covering it with other backgrounds in the picture, it removes the lower bird from view.

Here is a picture of a huge bougainvillea and the pretty light post is in the picture but I hate the sign.

So by blurring out the sign, I was able to keep the post in the picture.

Now this was my first sample of cloning. I had Googled “removing chain linked fence”.

The results by most photographer experts say to go retake the picture or take it to an expert to try to remove the layers but I removed the fence in front of the two deers and also the pole right in the middle of the picture. This is not a picture that you can just go take another one.

Cloning is very easy. In Ribbet, first click on  Advanced and then on “Cloning”. Click on the background and then on what you are trying to cover. It takes a few minutes but it does remove the unsightly object you are trying to remove or blur. This is something you need to practice with so if you do not like your results, you can just close it out and start over. I watched 4 or 5 Utube videos before I attempted it.
