The September 2012 market statistics for Brookeville, MD are - again - very different than the previous month. It appears that the Brookeville market has lost its momentum from the summer month. However, considering that there are currently 12 detached home sales pending, it may be temporary.

During September 2012 only 4 home sales were recorded as closed transaction - that's considerably less than the last few months - at an average sold price of only $386,875. That is the lowest average monthly price this year. The properties sold after an average of 134 days on the market. Considering the currently pending homes (average list price of $524,492) as well as the active listings, the market statistics for the rest of the year could look a lot more positive again.

*Please note, the DOMP (average days on market) for August 2012 includes the sale of the historic Longwood Manor home, built in 1817 for Thomas Moore. It sold after a total of 1,223 days on the market. Leaving this transaction out of the equation, the average DOMP for August 2012 was 140 days.*

There are currently 40 homes listed for sale in Brookeville, MD - 6 of which were newly listed in September 2012.
