Kristin,

California Dreaming lives on! That's a mighty beautiful car that you neighbor owns. The photography is exceptional!

There's something about car shows that makes us forget about petty things and appreciate quality. Thank God for Henry Ford who started the wheels turning for other innovative automobiles. I can't even imagine life without the auto, can you?

Hi Patricia,

I love the older cars as their style was so elegant. All the Hollywood movies with the big convertibles, the gangster cars they stood on while being chased and the movies where they were traveling in convertibles. Very few companies still make two-tone seats and have lots of leg room but Ford still does.

It seems like now, the cars all look the same; sedans, trucks, and SUVs so you pick a square of round style and a couple of years later the company switches to the other. We have become more modernized.

Kristin, beautiful car and love the color ... red is one of my favorite colors.  This is a great event and sounds like it will be a big success.

Hi DeeDee,

Kwee had one too so I am thinking it is a national event the Veterans plan. That is great as anything we can all do for the veterans is so important. They fought for us and deserve our help. My father was a WW11 and Korean War Veteran and is buried at the Riverside National Cemetery.

Kristin,

That is a very cool car and adding $165 K to a Veteran fund is huge. I hope they had a large turnout. I personally like car shows.

Hi Robert,

My neighbor has been working on his car for months or a year or two. It was neat to hear it driving down the street Saturday morning just before I took the picture. He is really proud of it as he should be. I love the older cars.

Yes they worked hard to collect that much money but everyone just does it for the donation and they write it off their taxes too. That is a great benefit too. $165,000 is nothing to sneeze at.

Hi Joni,

Yes it was a big sucesss and for as far as you could see, there were cars parked coming there to enjoy the show. They plan for these events and it is wonderful when they make their projected amount. I think they had more across the country for the vets. Thanks for stopping by.
