The YouTube video, Richard? Where is the darned YouTube video as evidence? Here I was clicking and clicking on your photo of the guitar and no video popped up. Darn!!!
Richard..... I love this post.... confidence comes with competence.... and it does last a lifetime.....
So good that you shared this with us. If you have the Competence, you therefore can be Confident. I loved the fact that you did what you did. It takes courage, but you also had the confidence...
Fernando...
It does take a bit of gumption! Thanks so much.
Bill...
It translates across the board. But I was very proud of myself for taking the plunge and now I am kmore confident than ever! THX.
Brenda...
In many ways our clients ARE our audience! Thanks for the nice comment.
Richie...
Wow, that is very profound. What was I waiting for all of these years? Very good food for though, thanks so much.
Elizabeth...
I checked YouTube and no posts there, but here's some Blues rifts I did at home a few years ago:

It sure does! Thanks my friend.
Richard .... and I was just going to ask which guitar you play. Checked out the youtube piece. Nice work. I find guitar playing is one of the best ways to work things out at the end of the day.
You've got a lot of confidence to be able to do that. I would not be able to pull it off.
Richard this is so so true! You are so awesome and how fun with that have been to be there hearing you play. Maybe next time a much of BananaTudes will show up in banana suits! And it surely does it apply to every area of life....it's like speaking, once you do it enough it's no big deal to do it improptu coming from a strong background of experience and knowing.
Richard, when I first started in the business, I wasn't very confident in my abilities. Although, I thought I was competent, I don't think it showed. I celebrate my five year anniversary in the business next week. Now, both my confidence and competence show. I will have to admit that AR played a huge role in getting me to this point. The members here have provided me with the best training available to real estate agents.
I hope you got a tip! That sounds like a fun and impromptu scenario.
How brave you are Richard!! Perhaps a 2nd career is in the making.
Hey Richard,
Congrats on the FEATURE! And yes practice does make for perfection preparation. I remember the days of playing scales over and over in high school in the morning before classes started. I looked nerdy, but guess what? I got honors in music and a college scholarship. I gotta get my old saxophone overhauled. Playing is truly fun stuff. Thanks for the post!
Showing confidence will make people pass over the little imperfect things
Richard, I checked out your Blues Riffs video on Youtube. Nice job! I'm researching the Line 6 POD Studio UX2 USB so I can record my guitar directly into my computer. I've read good things about it. Anymore videos?
Mind over matter! It can be a bit intimitating. I used to play guitar at mass on Sundays when I was in junior high and high school. My butterflies never really went away.
Did I hear you say that you were going to put a performance on YouTube for us to watch?
Good for you. Nice that you have a passion for music and got to share it. Being able to "escape" and play music must be great therapy. For me, it's playing in the dirt. Go get 'em!
Richard, what an apt analogy that certainly applies to our business and would love to see you play!
Sharon
Richard - I can absolutely see how confidence and competence coincide or perhaps collide, and it sounds like it worked for you.
Confidence really does go a long way. Sometimes if you just act like you belong and believe you can do it, it actually works. When I first started teaching part time, I found out I'd be teaching four math classes, while I've always considered math to be my weakest subject. I didn't mention this to anyone and just dove in. It turned out I was quite good at it and because it hadn't come easily to me, I ended up being especially good at explaining it to the kids who were struggling to "get it". What a lesson that experience taught me.

What a fantastic post Richard! This is so true. I have clients ask me sometimes why I seam so confident that I can do what I say I can do. My usual answer is...because I've done it before and I'm good at what I do. Being well educated at your craft and working hard tend to have that effect on you.
