Answer:  Costs vary depending on the services requested by the Client.  The services available for a Commercial Building Inspection are offered on an ala carte basis.  Costs are then computed based on either a square foot basis or an hourly basis.

To answer your original question;  a heap of money!  The same with appraisals.  Try getting a boat survey done.  Yikes!

Thank you Kurt!  I enjoy discussing these issues.  Ref the "heap", I'm not sure that is the case.  At HABITEC we try to keep the cost of a Commercial Inspection certainly affordable.  We find it helps to maintain a diversified Client base.  It pays off in times like these when the residential market is struggling.

A good inspection or survey might be expensive in the eyes of the agent, but the agent is not the one who is buying the property.  Price is relative to the service and could be priceless in the eyes of the buyer.

Agreed Scott!  We have been fortunate to see few complaints from agents or customers about the cost of an inspection or survey.  Especially after they see the quality of the report.  I venture to say that in almost every event we do we save the Client a lot more money than they spend on the Inspection.  Thanks for your comment.
