The Bayou Club Entrance Pinellas Park FLThe Bayou Club in Pinellas Park, FL is an upscale, gated golf course community of single family homes, and the biggest of its kind in Central Pinellas. The Bayou Club is partially located in the City of Pinellas Park, FL, and end of September the Pinellas Park City Council approved a 3 percent increase in property tax rates for the coming fiscal year of 2013. The current tax rate is about $5.43 per $1,000 assessed, taxable value on real estate. The new rate is $5.59 per $1,000.-  of assessed value, a 16 cent difference.

As an example, on a home assessed at $100,000.- taxable value, the small rate increase equals a $16.- higher tax bill for 2013 versus 2012, on a home value of $500,000.- the increase translates to $80.- additional expense for the homeowner.

Residents of The Bayou Club that are located in the city limits of Pinellas Park will see the additional income go to the City’s general fund budget.

Craig's Mom lived in the Mainlands for many years, Tanja, she would have been so unhappy with this increase.

Good morning Tanja, everything seems to be going up. I hate to see the increased tax bills. I am sure Pinellas Park figured out a way to justify it.... Happy Selling today!

Always tough to see taxes go up.  Hopefully this will be all for the next few years.

Thanks for the information on Taxes. While the information isn't the most pleasant to hear for homeowners, knowing is always better than NOT knowing in Real Estate. Thanks for sharing.
