Gumbo with the stars is the theme for this year gumbo cookoffYes folks, it's that time of year and once again, the weather cooled off just in time (well, a little bit)! The Realtor Association of Acadiana's Gumbo Cookoff is this Thursday, October 11th, in Parc International downtown Lafayette.

This year's theme is Gumbo with the Stars!

The doors open at 4:30 and tickets are $10 for all you can eat gumbo (quite a deal!), live music, dancing, and lots of fun. Children under 5 years old get in free and there is also a costume contest for the children under 12 at 6:30.

Every year, real estate brokerages, title companies, inspectors, lenders, gather for this event. Competition is fierce for the best gumbo and the best team's theme and skit. It is always a fun event and this year weather should be perfect for a night out downtown.

So come on out and celebrate the fall with us tomorrow night in Parc International.
