Colorado Weekend Trip Idea

By
Real Estate Agent with The Platinum Group Realtors

Looking for ideas on where to go for the weekend or even just an overnight?  The city of Santa Fe New Mexico is a fantastic find not only for culture, art, and fun but they have fantastic restaurants.  I discovered a great find recently at the Chocolate Maven in Santa Fe.

Chocolate Maven Exterior Building

Located in the industrial district I questioned whether my phone was leading me astray or this is was not good idea.  Pulling down the parking lot between two industrial warehouses I saw a sign on the wall that said "Chocolate Maven" and thought, I got here, lets at least have a look.

Chocate Maven Bakery Cafe

Walking in the door my senses were immediately delighted.  The front bakery counter was loaded with freshly made delicacies and we saw a sign set up that read, "please wait to be seated".  Following our hostess into the dining room it was small & quaint but bustling with activity.  Along the far wall was a floor to ceiling piece of glass that ran the entire wall.  On the other side were the Chocolate Maven bakers busy at work.  We had a wonderful breakfast from a menu full of options while watching the bakers make morning croissants and green chili croissants.  I loved it!

Chocolate Maven Green Chili Croissant

On the way out I also picked up some dark chocolate and gluten gree cocconut chocoate chip macroons for gifts to bring back.  NOTE:  They do take online orders via the phone or their website.  It was a great find a highly recommended.
