Scary Halloween Party being held at City of Katy Dog Park

The City of Katy Texas (Historic Katy) will host its annual Howl-A-Ween party for local dogs and dog owners. The event will be held at the Katy Dog Park which is located at 5414 Franz Road, Katy Texas. The park is almost directly behind the Katy Branch Library. The party is scheduled for October 24, 2012 starting at 6:00 P.M.  The admission fee is a large amount of $1.00 or one bag of dog food. All of the food or proceeds will be given to a local animal shelter. If you or your family wants more information call 281-391-4840 or try the City of Katy’s web site.

City of Katy Dog Park

I wrote about this event last year but did not get an opportunity to get over to the park to enjoy the scary fun.  I might buy our dog a costume and see if I can get him to leave it on. We were able to put a Santa outfit sort of on him last Christmas. Duke our Schnauzer does not see how any of this stuff is funny as he was at one time a shelter dog and really does not have a good sense of humor (??).This dog is a very jealous persnickety animal.

The Katy Dog Park offers 14 acres of grass, trees, walking path wading pool for dogs only, custom dog showers and special fountains for access by both dog and owners. This has to be one of the nicest Dog parks in the whole Houston area.

Hello Bob: What a great area to have a "scary Halloween party held at City of Katy Dog Park". I bet some will come in costume. Admission charge is very affordable to assist the shelter.

Mac sends you a big Woof for this one Bob. His kind of event for sure! Although, as good natured as he is - he's a costume free kind of fella too. I would love to attend this Dog ( Howl a ween) halloween event in Katy, Texas. :)

I am sooooo sorry, Bob  But, I laughed out loud of your description of your dog as persnickety shelter dog.  I would ask that you just put a doodad on him and call it good.  He will be freaked out seeing all those other dogs with costumes.  LOL!

Bob, even though Duke isn't too fond of dressing up for Halloween, I hope you both attend this Halloween party (I mean Howl-A-Ween) at Katy Dog Park. Perhaps he could wear a festive collar or something! :)
