Forever

Gary Woltal provides us with a thought provoking post about the fact about FOREVER.  Forever .... We so often forget that forever is real and what we do today impacts our forever.

Forever Long TimeLooking at the calendar rolling around TODAY on this date

10-11-12 (interesting combination of numbers), another birthday for me!! It got me

  Thinking About Forever.

Forever is such a word that cannot be an absolute truth in a temporal world. Maybe in an afterlife "eternity" makes perfect sense. I look around at celebrities that love someone one month "forever" and then they break up. The "REALTOR for life" concept I laugh at with clients moving away and agents getting out of the business.

With friends they say there are reason, season, and lifetime friends with the latter in short supply. I have felt queasy with that one as I present myself ALWAYS as a lifetime connection but it is a two way street and THEY fade away. In romance, forever seems defined by hello and goodbye, the goodbyes spoken or silent.

We should work at FOREVER much harder in our earthly lives cause it really is a fidelity, a tightness with another human being, that is very good and through ups and downs is a high honor giving it or receiving it.

Use our canine friends as a role model. ALWAYS there for you with unconditional love. Till death, the FINAL goodbye for any of us...

Some people treat their dogs better than they treat the humans around them!! Another mystery in life. Maybe cause dogs don't talk back.

But the reality of OTHERS not living up to their end of the forever bargain just is a Hmmmmm moment. In my video I provided to add a muscial song to this post even Randy Travis who lives around my area talking about Forever and Ever, Amen, is on the downward side of his singing career with drunkenness, lewd behavior and getting into fights because of alcohol. His good traits are not LASTING forever.... life is forever changing. Just a reality for all of us. It can be sad when you want everything to remain at its peak best, and it doesn't always.

Work at YOUR FOREVER with EVERYONE, and if they accept its "spiritual" gift for what it is they will be more blessed. If they let you go, well, they are on another path and keep sending your forever connection on to the next person you meet. They will have your memories between hello and goodbye though, and KNOW you will have made a difference in their lives all the same. I am "thankful" for all the forever I can give to another, and the forever I receive.

When you receive forever, you will know it, because these people you will think of as FAMILY. Your forever to THEM they will call you family too.
