Montgomery County Firefighters 2nd Annual High Point BBQ Battle

Where: High Point Farm at 23730 Frederick Road, Clarksburg, MD
What: This FREE event is similar to the popular TV series, BBQ Grillmasters, with 23 teams that have been sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society and the Governor. There will also be a free concert to the public featuring Mark and Da Sharks, a Jimmy Buffett cover band. Kids can enjoy moon bounces, games, plenty of food while watching the teams prepare their entries for judging.

What: The setting: prom – 1958. Four girls, with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts, sing about life and love. The New York Times called it “One irresistible musical! An utter charm bomb!”

Where: NATIONAL CAPITAL TROLLEY MUSEUM at 1313 BONIFANT ROAD, COLESVILLE, MD
What: On Fridays, children may exchange the token they received with their trolley ride tickets for a pumpkin that they may decorate on-site to take home. Visitors may also tour Street Car Hall with a docent, learn about the role of street cars in developing communities, and see the antics of Harold Lloyd in silent film comedies featuring street cars.

What: Shop a stunning array of sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art – all hand-crafted by American artists who have been jury selected for this prestigious show. There will also be live music, children’s entertainment, and delicious gourmet goodies from dozens of specialty food vendors.
