Study your blog entries and subsequent subscriptions and ones that scored well in readership. Some will surprise you like these two below that got a fair share of views. Kinda funny because when added, did not tag it the way I would now, nor post it to as many groups but have since done a little housekeeping in that department. Definitely a learning curve and effort to make a meal out of left overs that were a hit the first time around. Did close to 300 blogs from property highlights to blogs about Maine black flies, climbing Mt Katahdin, Maine's highest mountain, and tons of local Houlton Maine institutions like Cary Library, Houlton Fire Department, Houlton Regional Hopsital, and a slew of youth programs blogs from Little League, Northern Maine Soap Box Derby and Southern Aroostook Minor Hockey all the way up to Houlton Hodgdon Blackhawk High School Hockey. But other than a tongue in cheek Maine black fly entry, these two seemed to get alot of eyeballs studying them for some reason. Our business is one of communication, relaying offers and holding deals together, doing damage control to avoid misunderstandings or escalating emotions so maybe communication and how we say things is what a blog is all about! The way you put your words together, the expressions you use, the degree of humor and ability to show humility, all cause a drum to beat louder and louder as you develop a following. The topics you pick and how timely they are also contribute in addition to when did you make the entry and what else was being hashed over for blogs that day. This is an area you have little control over because it involves what's on the minds of other Active Rainers and the outside cyber world that picks up on these topics and takes a peek and gives a listen to and what you thoughtfully hammer out.
