Oahu Monthly Market Update (September 2012)

There may be many things to debate when it comes to politics. But when it comes to the state of the real estate market and whether it’s a good time to buy or sell, there’s no debate. Check out these facts:

FACT: Buyers can take advantage of incredibly low interest rate financing options, some with 0% down. You may be able to afford a home now that you couldn’t afford before.

FACT: Closed sales continue to outpace 2011. On a year-to-date basis through September, 30 2012, single family home sales are up 8.8% and condominium sales are up 2.6% over the same 9 months in 2011. Sales activity has been consistently stronger this year.

FACT: If the properties on the market today were to sell at the current sales pace, they would all be sold in about 3 ½ months. Homes that go on the market now are getting a lot of attention and often multiple offers.

These are straight facts. No spin. Numbers don’t lie.
