It's 20 below outside right now and the snow squeaks when you walk in it. In the full moon, you can see the mountains almost like daylight and the breath coming from our horses noses looks like dragon smole in the night. There really is a silver lining to every cloud. Hey, you've gotta look for the positives! But check out the beauty. This is a beautiful place and if you don't like the weather, just give it a few months.

Yeah, but it was colder in other areas of the country today. Sure, it would be nice to be on a beach somewhere, but if you have to be in the cold....this isn't such a bad place to be. It builds character, or so I was told by my Dad when I was a kid helping him feed cows when it was even colder!

Really beautiful! I loved seeing the seasons in the similar photos. It's clear and cold (for us at about 32 degrees!) tonight here in Seattle and the moonlight is beautiful, but moonlight on snow is beyond beauty, it's ethereal

Hey John,

As I said before, your photos are spectacular. Tonight I made a quick trip back to the office to pick up some docs and it was so darn cold, I cranked up the heat again...now I'm embarrassed. I won't begin to tell you how cold it was in So-Cal, lol.

John, the winter picks are beautiful. Let's see more of those. I can enjoy them from my office.

I grew up on the Central Coast of CA, where the occassional snow was so much fun. Now, I live in KY, where it is much colder than CA, but surely not as cold as WY.
