Sometimes hallways, stairway landings, mudrooms and other small transitional spaces offer the opportunity to create the sense of AN EXTRA ROOM (read: VALUABLE SQUARE FOOTAGE that buyers are willing to pay for!).  Because of their small size, it also offers an easy and inexpensive chance to be creative, as it doesn't take much to make a big impact.

Lisa, great post and great job staging that space.  I always find these landing areas problematic and your picture shows what a great asset they can be when decorated correctly.  Buyers can really benefit by seeing how they can use this often overlooked space.

Beautiful example and worth re-examining a previous post.  Looks very cozy.  Thanks, Lisa!

I'm with Sheron - you do incredible work.

I'd love to feature this in the group called Staging "Before" & "After" Pictures.  Would you mind adding it to that group?

Thanks

Kathy

I love the way that you used the space.  The mirror and the chair (the color is fab)are beautiful.  Where did you get the mirror?

Thank you, Lanita.

Mirror is from a stager's favorite haven, IKEA.  Chair was consignment, and a steal.  Skeptics on the job thought I was crazy to buy it, and then told me that this landing was the favorite "room" in the house!

Cheers,

LKT

Hi Lisa!  Nooks and crannies are really sweet surprises!  And, it increases the "space" in the home!

Got back from Ikea last night - addicted!

Great use of the space. It looks fabulous. In fact I am now going to revisit a consult I just did when the house had an unusual space that might allow for a reading nook. So, thanks for the inspiration. Rhonda Rawlins - Glastonbury Home Staging
