Folks:   As we all endeavor to work by referral, I wanted to offer a referral that - on the face of it - seems to be quite interesting.  There is a company called Value Builders http://www.valbuilders.com/ that has an very interesting business model.    They go into a property that is in desperate need of updating (such that it is eating up equity), assess the potential sale value, and contract with the Seller to do an equity split on the increased value of the updates.  We, of course, benefit from higher home sales prices. The Seller benefits by getting a better net equity situation.  ValBuilders does their thing and makes their cut.   Our listing contracts are just like they always are...we just get a better home to sell.  THis is done with no money out of the client's pocket -- unless they cancel the contract when they realize how great the home is/could be!   I am going to call their two contacts: Debra Schaefer and Terri Gallmeier to get some more information.    I am going to provide you their information as well. I do, however, have one request and its an important one.  I was referred to this program by Mike Mustain of Johnson Moving and Storage (mmustain@johnson-united.com and 303.596.3280).
