Gourds

While browsing around in the Farmer’s Market in Bedford, Texas, I noticed a lot of different gourds. I thought to myself, shopping for gourds is a lot like shopping for a lender.

 

First a buyer needs a lender to find out if they are qualified.

 

  • Lenders come in all sizes, shapes, and colors – just like gourds!
  • Some make you happy; others do not.

 

 

 

SHOPPING FOR HOUSES

 

GourdsNext the buyer makes a loan application to get preapproved.

 

  • The process can be bumpy or it can be smooth – a gourd can be too!
  • The decision to choose whether or not you want to buy can be complicated or not.

 

If approved for a loan, identify a property with a licensed REALTOR®– just like gourds, you’ll find one suitable for you.

 

  • Some houses are large; some are small – which one is unique, just for you?
  • Choose a house like you would a gourd – find one that will give you enjoyment.

 

Submit to the lender an accepted purchase offer, also known as an executed contract

 

  • During the option period, have your home inspected by a qualified Home Inspector
  • The Inspector examines the interior and the exterior and reports his findings to you. 

 

 

House of GourdsYou will then decide if the property you chose is just right. If you approve, the lender sends the appraiser.

 

  • An appraiser will determine the value of the property right for your market area.
  • If there’s a problem, your lender will let you know and the REALTORS® will know what to do.

 

 

The buyer will receive the title commitment and when all the docs are cleared to close, an appointment will be set

 

  • The last step is funding and closing.
  • Just like the fun you had when you were a kid picking out gourds, you’ll decide which colors, shapes and sizes works best for you in the dwelling of your choice.

 

Once you settle into your home, you’ll discover lots of fun things to do in and around the city where you live. I like to visit the Dallas Arboretum where there is always something planned for the various seasons of the year. This house was built and designed for Fall & Winter 2012, now on exhibit.

I agree. Lenn is very logical and a great lady, just like you :)

I think it would be fun to build a gourd house, just for fun, perhaps an auction to, to raise money for a worthwhile cause.

The Farmers Market, which you so cleverly post about frequently is such a great place to visit. I've been looking for property with a buyer in Bedford and I'm lucky that it just so happens to be near the Farmers Market. Who said you can't have business and pleasure? Business... it's always on my mind. So a stop at the Farmer's Market gets those creative juices flowing!
