Atlanta Homes ODAT Realty Offering
Clients Clear Communication

Every day
ActiveRain blog posts teach members to be the best and the brightest in real estate practices. Today I learned yet another lesson from BROKER BRYANT about Offering Clients Clear Communication .

"We have an initial consultation followed up by a thick stack of disclosures that they sign off on. Then we correspond by email or text. It gives me a written record of everything we discuss and it helps eliminate confusion.."

WRITE IT DOWN! For me, the speed of everything makes clear communication a challenge. If we have three Clients calling on the phone and some are speakers of languages other than English, written communication becomes essential. Written communication is the only way to be certain that Atlanta Homes ODAT Realty is Offering Clients Clear Communication when more than one language is involved.

Since we have Clients in different time zones, we want to be the one firm that is Offering Clients Clear Communication since the Client may be in the middle of the night at the same time we are mid-day in Atlanta. We try to re-cap those conversations as best we can because attention to detail is paramount for us at Atlanta Homes ODAT Realty.

When we are Offering Clients Clear Communication, we avoid errors along the road to Closing or Settlement. Just because a Listing says one thing does not mean it is accurate. This week I saw four condo listings that said "No monthly Association Fees". Believe that and I'll show you a bridge in ...

If the Seller assures you that the Title is clear and ready to be sold, check it out. Jordon Wheeler's post stresses the importance of Title Search details. No point in getting to Closing /Settlement and finding out that the "facts" about a certain property are not really FACTS.

What about the ever-present HUD? Mike Cooper's post points out the importance of reviewing documents every step of the way. Careful review of essential documents along the road ensures we are Offering Clients Clear Communication that leads to success at Closing/Settlement. We must keep written notes and signed documents for clarity.

Thanks for the shout out, Lynn.  I read the other blogs mentioned and they are great advice, as is yours.  Keep really good records, offer no legal advice and make sure communication is in print.

Lynn, Communication is critical.  We must document all communication.  Having systems and processes in place helps keep track of an entire file.  We cannot afford to cut corners.
