Gorge Fruit & Craft Show, Harvest Fest 2012, Oct 20th & 21st
Christmas shopping, anyone? How about stocking up on fruit for canning or jams? Or maybe buy your fall bulbs for glorious spring blooms?
Autumn brings the Hood River Valley Harvest Festival (which I covered in another blog post) to Hood River and one of the highlights of the festival is the Gorge Fruit & Craft Show at Hood River County Fairgrounds. It's the perfect time of year to tour the valley, see the fall colors, taste local wine and stock up on fresh fall fruit.
The fair boasts a huge variety of handmade goods from baked goods, to jewelry, quilts, clothing, decor, Christmas fares, pottery and so on. There is also an abundance of fruit available, as well as lots of bulbs and plants for fall planting. And don't miss the Odell Garden Club's annual flower show.
Saturday, October 20th & Sunday, October 21st, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking and admission are free!
