Video......Is This The Way We Sell Real Estate Now? Take 2!!!
I was cruzing around Active Rains google and came across this awesome and informative post that I thought this was a must read for our tight community of Active Rain Real Estate Professionals.
I did a video of this property at 107 Sicily Drive in Clayton a while ago and I got a bit carried away with my new iPad......It was BAD.
I had Bobby Carroll with Dakno Marketing (check them out they do an awesome job creating web sites for RE agents) look at it and he gave it the Roger Ebert take down. I had forgotten the purpose of the video, I was ignoring the rules for my own satisfaction. A video of a house has to be two minutes or less, so by having a four and a half minute video I was making an art film when I wanted a blockbuster!
Another thing no call to action, you can't let people just watch a video without asking for something at the end, "call me to schedule a showing, or email me with questions" They'll be off looking at mean cats or prisoners doing Gangnam Style dances...or worse looking at other houses.
Google owns YouTube, everyone knew that, right? So make sure you have key SEO words in the title and description. YouTube is the second most used search tool out there so by doing video you can jump up in the ratings (pun)! The stats are staggering, 800 million unique users each MONTH !! 72 hours of video are uploaded every minute. In 2011 YouTube had 1 Trillion views which is about 140 views for every person on earth!!
This one won't win any oscars and I know it is not perfect, but its short and gets to the point and I may tweak it a bit but I want to move on to the sequel so we'll see. Oh and by the way get an iPad!!!
107 Sicily Drive....Part Deux!
Here it is I hope you like it, I wonder should I have put it in the middle of the post???????
