When a Error Occurs Correct it

“An error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse

to correct it.”

Orlando A. Battista 1917 -1995, Canadian-American

As I see it . . . . . . .

When an error occurs correct it

It’s just a fact of life that . . . . Stuff happens and errors occur . . . .

No one really go out there and tries to make an error an purpose . . . . But if you’re out there trying error will happen. More than likely the only time errors don’t happen is when we’re not trying.

Even then there has been a error . . . . .in misusing your time.

Anyone that has achieved any level of success has made their sharing of errors. We very seldom hear about them because they moved on pass their errors and their successes over shadow the error.

Errors are learning experience when you move past them with an understanding of what wrong and how not to repeat the something them in the future.

Don’t dwell on the error focus on the solution and you will be using your time productively in moving pass the error.

When an error occurs correct it . . . . as soon as you possibility can and move past it.

Thank you for the reminder that “An error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse to correct it.”

It is important to learn to focus on SOLUTIONS. Have a wonderful week!

During my career (and life) and I have found that it is always best to admit you made a mistake, then do everything you can to fix it.  Saves a lot of problems down the road.  Finger pointing leads nowhere.

Lou,

Excellent advice.  I am dealing with a plumbing company now who made a mistake.  Things happen, I am ok with that, however, I haven't been happy with how they are dealing with the mistake.  Pretending it doens't exist won't help and makes me mad.  It also removes them from my vendor call list.  Such a shame, since we've spent $15,000 with them over the past three years.

All the best, Michelle

It's hard not to complain about things when they go wrong.  That's fine, for a moment, but ultimately the most successful people are those who solve the problem.

Morning Lou,  Great advice and best when applied as soon as you are aware of the situation.

Since none of us is perfect, we will make errors. It is only a matter of time. Admitting to the error, even when embarrassing, and correcting it is a requirement for moving forward.

I couldn't agree more!  It's best to take care of it right away then try to hide it and allow it to get worse.

This is a great point.  Being able to admit when you're wrong as well as taking the steps to correct something is admirable.

Yep, admit it, fix it and then move on.  Good stuff.

To true lou! Seems simple yet becomes a hurdle when left alone. As important as simple communication in deals.

Lou, there has only been one perfect man and his name was Jesus. I make mistakes all the time but try to correct them when I make them.

Lou, we are all human and we all err - just correct it and get it over with. It feels so much better.

The person who has never messed up is not doing anything!  We definitely need to correct errors as soon as we know that we've committed them!

Great post.  It is so important to be honest about your mistakes.  Everyone makes them and we can learn from them.

So true, Lou.  I think the key is how you react and correct the mistake. Oh and LOL, did you make these minor errors in the post by accident or on purpose? (e.g. typo in title)
