Sleeping Sailboats in Safety Harbor, FL - Sssh, Don't Wake Them

It’s Fall and the weather is perfect for sailing. Why are the sailboats all still here at the marina? Where are their owners? They must be busy going to pumpkin festivals, pumpkin patches and halloween events.

Shhhh - don't wake them (get it?)

If you're thinking of sailing and want to do it here in Florida, give us a call.

Getting a little too chilly here for sailboats, but those sunny skies in New Port Richey sure are delightful!

Toni, great shot!  I used to love waking up on our boat, US'N TWO, a power boat.  Of course, I had to go for a morning walk along the waterfront.  Dave would just be rolling out of berth by the time I got back with coffee and donuts.

Have a wonderful day in New Port Richey.

PS I like Roy's comment.  The snow birds will be down in a few weeks/months.

Larry and Sheila - It's so hard to think of chilly right now when you're in Florida.

Mary - we used to own property on Melbourne Beach and we would walk the beach in the mornings (Atlantic side). It was gorgeous early in the am.

John - I knew you would! The snowbirds usually don't come till January after the holidays with family.

Joan - this is the best time of year for sailboats and any boats.

Toni,

If I owned a boat that expensive...I think I would live on it. With all the Naval Academy retirees we have here, many consider Annapolis the Sailing Capital of the World.

I think it is really neat how the masts all gravitate to the middle of the scene.  It's like they all wish to hug each other:-)

Hello Toni,  Wow all the boats are in, what is wrong with these people.  I would think that is a key to living down there to be out on the water.

Toni: I can't imagine owning a boat and missing out on a beautiful weekend like this to be on the water.

Hi Toni.

What a waste having the boats sitting in the marina's instead of getting out on the water. Maybe the owners are burnt out on all the sailing from the summers activities.

Have a good day in New Port Richey.

Best, Clint McKie

Funny, Rich, i thought it was Newport :) swee

Myrl - I love that explanation but really: I crouch down on the grass and shot upwards to create the perspective. :) Your idea is sweetger.

Will - well, maybe they are going out later. Or, they are winter people who aren't even here yet.

Anita - me either. When we had ours we were out all the time. Except when we were camping with our trailer.

Clint - I guess if you have one, you can pick and choose when you want to take it out. It was the perfect day though.

Toni,

What a lovely shot and I love the blue covers which complete the marine/beach look.  Hope you are having a delightful Sunday, we are catching up and planning next week.  Luckily the Internet was down until 2PM, so we went into town for lunch and long walk checking out what is new in town.  A
